Providing equal opportunities to all...

Prisha Bhargava • Apr 11, 2023

Having equal opportunities is a right not a privilege.

Inclusivity is such an essential aspect of life, and something I will fight to provide through all of my endeavors.

I realize that swimming lessons can be expensive, and in this day and age learning swimming isn’t an accessory – it’s a necessity. Therefore, I’ve made the decision to dedicate Fridays this summer session to providing free lessons to low-income families in surrounding communities. I fully believe in the importance of inclusiveness and ensuring all children have the same opportunities, and I’m very excited to have this new progression at Oasis Swim School!

I can also only imagine how hard it is for parents to find swim schools for their children who might have learning disabilities or disabilities of any kind. Therefore, I have also decided to provide free lessons to children with disabilities on Fridays as well. Our compassionate, patient, and experienced coaches can be fully trusted when teaching children with disabilities and will strive to make the experience as comfortable and successful as possible!

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns!

Learn swimming and relieve stress at the same time
By Prisha Bhargava 07 Mar, 2022
Last year was eventful in so many ways. The world was dealing with Pandemic and every family was contributing towards curbing the spread by staying at home. Each person was playing a critical role in our fight towards Covid 19 and its variants. For me personally, being an extrovert and being active in swimming and outdoor activities, Pandemic brought in loneliness and I was balancing between being sane and getting depressed. While speaking with my family on how to get over the sad feelings, I proposed the idea of teaching swimming to kids in our backyard pool. My parents were very supportive of it and that was the genesis of Oasis Swim School. Why the name 'Oasis'? Because my backyard feels like one and make me feel I am in an Oasis. Having been learning swimming since I was 5, it was my dream to teach the same to other kids. Summer of 2021 was a huge success. I saw overwhelming response from towns like Livingston, Summit, Chatham any other neighboring towns. I am now building on top of this success and offering expanded services this coming summer. Additionally I am looking to hire 2 high school life guard certified swimmers who can join Oasis Swim School and help teach kids swimming. If you are interested, please reach out to me directly along with some details on your back ground. We are currently scheduling lessons for this Summer so please feel free to call and setup your lessons. Happy Swimming! -Prisha Bhargava
